Job Title: Battery Management Systems (BMS) Engineer
Location: Columbus, Indiana
Responsibilities:
• Support Battery and system component issues of all full electric
vehicle, using a multidisciplinary approach – this will involve broad
engineering expertise, including mechanical, electrical, systems,
software, and process design.
• Support component level, sub-system and system level testing for
performance, reliability and durability.
• Lead any issue resolution related to system software, controls and
calibration.
• Work closely with software development team to define
requirements for software change and validate released software per
program requirements.
• Support system validation and field tests - Participate in in-depth
analysis of test data.
• Develop validation test methods and protocols.
• Use DOE best practices.
• Generate technical reports and presentations as needed with the
ability to present information in a clear and organized manner.
Requirements:
• Expert in Battery Management system.
• Expert in MATLAB, Simulink (MBD).
• Experience in Powertrain / vehicle domain.
• Should be able to be agile, a quick learner, understand system triage
issues, propose solutions, and help implement them.
• The requirement is that this resource should be located in
Columbus, IN, USA.
• Background software engineering in the Automotive industry.
• Comfortable working with technical processes.
• Good communication skills and ability to grasp concepts of other
engineers.
• Take ownership of the software development through testing and
validation.
• Provide support for troubleshooting all software and system related
issues.
• Interact with a highly skilled team in a fast-paced environment.
• Proven ability to work with global delivery, architecture team.
• Problem solving and debugging skills.
• Self-motivated and passion for leading-edge technologies.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering/systems
engineering/electrical engineering/computer science or equivalent
(Master’s preferred).
