Position Summary
The primary purpose of this position is to provide detailed Accounts Receivable/bookkeeping functions for assigned Districts and/or Markets. This position may also be asked to assist with special projects as assigned.
General Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure customer payment transactions and adjustments are recorded promptly and accurately in accordance with internal accounting practices and policies
- Assist AR Clerks when needed and act as a mentor to facilitate training and development
- Assist Team Lead with tracking and reviewing AR Clerks batches as assigned
- Assist Team Lead with special projects as assigned
- Assist with Customer Collections
- Respond to Customer inquiries in a professional and business-like manner
- Provide complete and accurate monthly financial reporting and tax reporting as needed
- Demonstrate responsibility regarding the care, condition, safe handling and securing of all company and customer equipment and property at all times
- Maintain professionalism, integrity, security, image and confidentiality of information and records as required by the position
- Attend all safety meetings, training and/or in-services as required
- Regular attendance at the worksite is required
Position Qualifications: Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Attention to details and proficiency with mathematics necessary to do the job well
- Demonstrate good communication skills, written and verbal
- Work well in a fast-paced environment
- Exercise solid organizational and communication skills
- Knowledge of computerized accounting systems
- Good phone skills and computer literacy (Microsoft Office)
- Ability to work independently and effectively manage time
- Must be dependable with a stable work history
- Ability to follow verbal and written directions
- Ability to adapt to a changing schedule as directed
- Ability to be a positive representative of the Company both internally and externally
- Ability to work with respect and cooperation at all times with fellow employees and cusomers
- Must be committed to working safely at all times
Experience/Education:
- High school diploma / GED is required
- Minimum of 2 years previous cash application or accounting experience
- Knowledge of generally accepted accounting practices and principles
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in office environment
- Light office management experience preferred
