Position Summary: The DCCC is hiring an Analytic Insights Director for the 2024 cycle. The Analytics Insights Director will harness the DCCC’s state of the art analytics tools for use by congressional campaigns across the country. This role directly supports members of Congress in their analytical needs and supports the Senior Leadership Team in national strategy.
Responsibilities:
- Provide the highest level of support and service for targeted congressional campaigns as an individual contributor. Serve as primary liaison with Democratic members of Congress in blue-leaning but competitive seats, providing prompt, professional responsiveness and excellent analytic insight.
- Manage relationships and projects having to do with redistricting, including understanding the analytical implications of proposed maps to help guide senior leadership decision making and, once maps are final, providing Data Ops teams with the analytical insight they need to adapt voter data to new districts.
- Present relevant analysis to Frontline members at quarterly Frontline meetings and delegation meetings.
- Foster a culture of learning that encourages Regional Analytics Directors and Regional Analytics Strategists to learn from national research and analysis.
- Coordinate with Chief Analytics Officer and fellow Directors in executing analysis that remains cohesive across the various stakeholders.

Requirements
- Several cycles of political experience, including at least 2-3 cycles of experience in data, targeting, or analytics
- Exceptional public speaking ability with formal and informal groups.
- A demonstrated ability to present data-driven recommendations to a wide range of stakeholders in a clear and persuasive manner.
- Intermediate to advanced skills in SQL, G-Suite.
- The ability to learn new technical skills quickly and on the job.
- Self-directed but collaborative; able to strike the balance between proactive project management and conscientious teamwork.
- Familiarity with, or adaptability to comply with, DCCC Analytics Department best practices in analyzing and presenting data.
- Strongly preferred: Familiarity with congressional analytics and data.
- Nice to have: Working knowledge of common mapping challenges in data visualization, a working knowledge of GIS systems.
- Nice to have: Intermediate or advanced skills in Python, R.
- Nice to have: Working knowledge of the issues at play in redistricting at the congressional level.
- Nice to have: Prior experience with survey research, polling, or modeling as a client or a facilitator.
- Nice to have: Familiarity with data visualization tools like Tableau or Google Data Studio.
