Position Summary: The Engagement Coordinator will serve as a member of the Engagement team within the Campaigns Department and work directly with the National Engagement Director and team to help manage processes surrounding investments, paid media, creative approvals, budget cash flow, strategic partnerships, and events.
This position is part of a collective bargaining unit.
Responsibilities Include:
- Responsible for running and implementing all internal Engagement Department processes:
- Manage the investments process; supporting investment decision making; working with accounting and operations teams to track spending and cash flow; managing internal and legal approval on all investments, including polling, paid media, district staff and more.
- Track process for consultant contracts and onboarding.
- Coordinate and manage the National Engagement Director’s schedule, as well as the broader schedule for the Engagement Department;
- Draft PowerPoint presentations and memos;
- Coordinate and facilitate internal meetings on behalf of the National Engagement Director;
- Review and compile briefings and reports for the National Engagement Director for key initiatives and meetings;
- Perform special projects and general administrative tasks associated with the Engagement Department;
- Assist in the organization of events that align with the goals of the engagement team.
- Perform other duties as needed.
Requirements
- Superior time management, planning, organizational and communications skills.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a timely manner. Careful attention to detail, accuracy in performing job duties and acts with a sense of urgency. Attention to detail and self-motivation required.
- Experience coordinating work across multiple departments and also managing projects in an independent fashion.
- Desire to work in a fast-paced environment with a positive, “no job is too big or too small” attitude.
- Experience with Microsoft office, especially Excel, is required, and experience with G suite is strongly preferred.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
