Maintenance Technician
An ADP client is currently recruiting for an experienced individual to be our next 1st ShiftMaintenance Technician to join our team in our Detroit, MI 48238 location.

DCI Aerotech is a growing Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) provider to Aerospace, Industrial and Military markets. We currently perform over 100 different in-house processes, promoting our “one-stop-shop” capabilities as a top reason for customers to work with us. Our 8-acre campus is in Detroit, Michigan, serving customers throughout the Unites States and Canada. In 2016 we doubled the size of our campus property as part of an ongoing expansion plan.
What you’ll do:
Core duties and responsibilities include the following.
- Performs minor building, HVAC, plumbing, electrical and painting repairs as necessary.
- Completes emergency, preventive, and predictive maintenance tasks.
- Troubleshoots mechanical breakdown situations to eliminate future occurrences.
- Performs a wide range of operations connected with maintenance, repair and installation of equipment and plating lines (water, gas, air, etc.).
- Dismantles and inspects parts, rebuild/overhaul and troubleshoot plating line and machine components, such as gearboxes, filters and agitation mechanisms, bushings, sleeves, etc. Services and maintains miscellaneous material handling equipment.
- Completes inspections of production areas, offices, and laboratories with Maintenance Manager.
- Performs structural work to include carpentry, welding, pipe fitting, sheet metal work, plumbing, and electrical incidental to work assignments.
- Responds quickly in the event of an emergency, notify appropriate personnel, and follow safety protocol.
- Maintains work area, shop floor and equipment in a neat, clean, and orderly condition.
- Completes records, forms and data entry as required by job.
- Strives to eliminate any unscheduled equipment downtime.
- Maintains consumables and replacement part inventory.
- Moves and installs of equipment.
- Is responsible for accuracy of preventative and predictive maintenance program.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by supervisor or management.
Our Perfect Candidate
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma/GED, Trade School/Vocational.
- HVAC Certifications are welcomed or any job-related certifications in Plumbing, or Electricity.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in facility maintenance.
- Minimum 1 year experience of maintenance at a metal finishing facility.
- Experienced in operating a variety of equipment, including snow blowers, lawn mowers and small hand tools.
- Ability to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment, including safety glasses, goggles or face shields, aprons, boots, gloves, and other PPE based upon requirements in working area.
