We are currently seeking a Machine Operator Assistant to support the Machine Operator with operating a complex, multi-faceted commercial machine in our DC location. Description of position:
This position is primarily responsible for finalizing finished flower units and assisting the Machine Operator with any tasks related to the bagging machine.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Review completed units to verify correct weight and detect any visual defects
- Application of all necessary labels
- Counting completed units into predetermined case pack sizes
- Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements
- Must be comfortable with using power-operated machine tools
- Work as a member of a team
- Ability to learn new techniques and take direction well
- Accuracy in counting large quantities
- Strong attention to detail
Working Conditions
- Must be comfortable to work around high-speed machinery.
- Must be able to lift at least 10lbs over head.
- Must be able to stand for the majority of the workday.
- Comfortable with heights (12 feet)
- You will be exposed to loud noises and strong odors.
- To prevent spread of COVID-19, accidents or other injury, machinists wear protective gear, such as masks, hairnet and gloves, as well as follow safety regulations.
- Must be comfortable working with their hands and must be extremely accurate.
- Part of the job will include maintenance and working with technicians in person and via Skype
