DCP is hiring a 1st Assistant Production Accountant. This is a hybrid role, 4 days in the West LA office and 1 day remote each week. To be considered, the applicant must be a member of IA 871 with production accounting experience. This position will be a key strategic partner to the Lead Production Accountant in the execution of production plans and show budgets. They will be instrumental in assisting the Lead Accountant, maintaining accurate accounting records and adhere to generally accepted procedures for all production payroll operations and payments. This is a full-time (52 week) position with rapid growth potential. The 1st Assistant Production Accountant will have the great opportunity to travel domestically with the various productions throughout the year.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with accounts payable and vendor management including w-9 verification, ACH and wire set up, bank account verification, filing, scanning and research.
- Reconcile Cashet/P-Cards, and AMEX accounts.
- Communicate between production, vendors, employees, payroll, corporate accounting & finance teams
- Interface with production crew to answer questions and problem solve AP/PC/payroll issues in a timely and constructive manner
- Assist with production audits, prior year clean up, annual 1099 reporting and residuals (domestic/international).
Qualifications and Experience:
- Must be IA 871, production accounting experience required.
- Knowledge of standard Accounting and Financial practices
- Knowledge of Live Event production processes a plus
- Knowledge of accounting, production finance (Cast & Crew, EP, Extreme Reach), Microsoft applications required; and Cashet experience is a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work independently, manage your time and handle a high volume of work
Typical wage range: $2,000 - $2,250/week. Factors that could be used to determine your actual salary may include your specific skills, years of experience and comparison to current employees already in this role. The typical candidate is hired below midpoint of the range.
