Job Posting Title: Clerical - Elementary & Health Assistant Job Description: Clerical - Elementary: Responsible for providing receptionist functions normally associated with such a position. May provide some assistance to office staff with various clerical needs. Develops and promotes good community relations among various community members and school clientele. ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: • Occasional lifting five (5) to ten (10) pounds • Frequent sitting • Occasional bending, squatting, or standing Health Assistant: Responsible for administering student medication, management of student’s chronic health conditions, first aid care of students, and maintaining student records. Deals with information of a highly confidential nature. Develops and promotes good community relations among various community members and school clientele. ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: • Occasional lifting five (5) to fifty (50) pounds • Frequent bending, stooping, walking, standing, kneeling, crawling, squatting, reaching, and sitting Position Specific Information (if Applicable): This position will be Mondays and Fridays, 8 hours a week as a Health Assistant and 6.5 hours per week as Clerical - Elementary, for a total of 14.5 hours per week. Responsibilities: --- May assist in the maintenance of immunization records. --- Respond to telephone calls, route calls, take messages, greet visitors, and assist staff, parents and community with concerns and questions. --- Perform other related duties as assigned or requested. --- Maintain student attendance. --- Administer minor first aid and release authorized medications to students. --- Provide assistance to office staff and other staff. --- Assist with the maintenance of student records. --- May have responsibility for the overall school calendar of events, scheduling building usage, field trips and other similar functions. Certifications: Education: High School or Equivalent (Required) Skills: Position Type: Regular Primary Location: Heritage Elementary One Year Only (Yes or No): No Scheduled Hours Per Week: 14.5 FTE: 0.36 Approx Scheduled Days Per Year: (260 days indicates a year-round position. Time off [or Off-Track Days] are then granted based on the position. Any exceptions to the normal off-track time will be noted in the Additional Position Details section above, as scheduled work days.) Minimum Hire Rate: $15.36 USD Hourly Maximum Hire Rate: $18.82 USD Hourly Full Salary Range: $15.36 USD - $22.28 USD Hourly All salary amounts listed above are based on a full-time (1.0) FTE. If applicable, part-time salaries will be prorated according to the assigned FTE. Benefits: This position is eligible for voluntary 401(k), 403(b) and 457 retirement plans. Time Off Plans: This position is eligible for paid sick and personal time.
