Our client, Zinman & Company (Southampton, PA), is regarded as a top accounting firm, providing professional accounting and bookkeeping services, as well as, comprehensive and expedient business tax services. Zinman & Company is seeking a bookkeeper to join the existing team, serving the needs of business clients by computing, classifying, recording, and maintaining accurate records of financial transactions. This role will also be responsible for processing and reviewing weekly and biweekly payroll for our client base.
This is not a remote position.
Duties & Tasks May Include:
- Balance and maintain accurate ledgers.
- Process AP by matching purchase orders with vendor invoices, preparing checks/payments, and tracking bank account balances.
- Process AR by scanning and depositing checks, coordinating bank deposits, and reporting financial results.
- Reconcile and balance bank, credit card, and other accounts.
- Calculate and prepare quarterly and monthly tax returns, along with payroll, operating, and business taxes.
- Process payroll data from timecard reports, accurately taking into consideration PTO, overtime, holiday hours, and other variables.
- Review time reports, wage computation, and other payroll data in order to detect and reconcile payroll discrepancies.
- Research specific regulations and assist with special projects, as may be needed.
Highly Qualified Candidates will possess most of the following:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2 years’ experience working in general ledger, AP, AR, and/or payroll.
- Familiarity with bookkeeping procedures and income tax worksheets.
- Experience using QuickBooks Online (QBO).
- Experience using BILL (bill.com) a plus.
- Experience in payroll processing.
- Experience filing local returns on state websites, such as e-TIDES.
- Experience with multi-client entities a plus.
- Ability to communicate with clients professionally, with excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Accurate with a commitment to excellence, integrity, and confidentiality.
