Dean’s Professional Services is now hiring a qualified Financial Clearance Associate to work for a Hospital in Houston, Texas. – Remote

The Financial Clearance Associate is responsible for facilitating access to care and the financial clearance process for patients.
Job Responsibilities:
- Verifies the eligibility/benefits, pre-authorization requirements, and available payment options.
- Financial counseling and other identified financial clearance-related duties.
- Collaborates with Patient Access, payors, third-party vendors, patients, and any other identified representatives internal or external to the institution to financially clear patients for care.
- Escalates financial clearance issues to the supervisor or coordinator for resolution.
Job Requirements:
- High School Diploma – Required
- 3 years of experience in healthcare, insurance, or related field. With the preferred degree, one year of required experience. – Required
- Associate degree in business, healthcare, or related field. – Required
- 5 years of business experience in healthcare, insurance, or a multi-specialty physician practice. – Preferred
- Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA) or Certified Healthcare Access Manager (CHAM) by the National Association of Healthcare Access Management. – Preferred
Job Details:
- Schedule: M-F 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
- Starting at $18/hr. (based on experience) benefits.
- One week- in-person training
- Consistent punctuality and attendance is a MUST.
