Due to company growth, Decavo is seeking the addition of a Planning & Supply Chain Coordinator to join their team in the Hood River, OR Area!

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Responsible for the oversight and direction of planning, inventory, shipping/receiving functions, and staff.
  • Support production management to ensure production goals and deadlines are being met.
  • Attend weekly Production meetings to give input & understand future needs.
  • Train new employees within the planning/procurement department.

Planning:

  • Understand the organization’s product lines and the associated processes and procedures.
  • Value stream mapping and understanding each unique product line.
  • Respond to incoming sales orders by ensuring material and inventory meet the required specifications and demands from the customer.
  • Create, issue and prioritize MOs (Manufacturing Orders) and related PTs (Production Travelers).
  • Work with management to confirm & validate customer delivery requests & product availability in relation to those requests.
  • Proactively communicate constraints, delays, and missed customer commitments with production management.
  • Work with the Production Manager to evaluate & manage fluctuating customer demands.
  • Work with production management to create and implement recovery plans.
  • Participate with production management & engineering in strategic planning decisions and to create or re-align the production plans to meet sales forecast.
  • Run MRP on a weekly basis, to validate that the purchase and planned orders are aligned to the demand of customers.
  • Process material/part requisitions for purchase with required due dates.
  • Product development support by issuing tooling manufacturing orders corresponding with production demand.
  • Understand the overall capacity within production in correlation to labor capacity, departmental capacity, outsource lead time and customer expectations.
  • Execute capacity planning exercises for each product line. Work with management to rectify capacity constraints regarding labor, equipment and tooling.
  • Implementation of CRP (capacity resource planning) tool to help improve productions overall awareness from a planning standpoint.
  • Support quoting by providing production cost, labor hours, and lead times.
  • Support the implementation and training of new MRP/ERP systems adopted by Decavo.

Inventory:

  • Ensure inventory accuracy via cycle counts and accurate transactions in the ERP system
  • Coordinate the flow, re-direction and transaction of manufacturing orders within production
  • Notify management of shortages or other problems that could impact product availability
  • Continuous improvement efforts for inventory storage
  • Manage and facilitate floor stock inventory system
  • Determine proper storage methods, identification & stock location based on turnover, environmental factors and AS9100 & OHSA compliance

Shipping & Receiving:

  • Obtain and process outgoing product orders, including entry in the ERP system
  • Create Packing Slip and Certificate of Conformance paperwork in ERP system
  • Ensure alignment of corresponding customer PO lines to Packing Slip lines
  • Schedule shipments and plan logistics
  • Check orders for accuracy and quality prior to shipment
  • Send customer confirmation of shipping via tracking number, when necessary
  • Ensure delivery of necessary paperwork Accounting
  • Maintain stockroom through organizing, cleaning and cataloging items on a regular basis
  • Prepare necessary shipping and receiving reports for managers
  • Troubleshoot shipping/receiving issues that arise and work to solve them.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • 3-5 years planning & inventory management experience in a manufacturing environment, experience in aerospace or UAV’s preferred.
  • Demonstrated skill with planning, inventory management, shipping/receiving and general business principles
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with coworkers and management
  • Ability to anticipate and solve practical problems
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and learn on the fly
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and MRP system experience required.
  • Ability to quickly and accurately generate action requirements and recovery plans based on MRP system.
  • Understanding of the manufacturing process(s) from raw materials to finished goods.
  • Highly organized with good attention to detail
  • Team orientated, with a positive attitude

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
