What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Technician position at Deceuninck North America?
Deceuninck is seeking a Production Technician for our Monroe Facility. The Production Tech will coordinates the changeover and troubleshooting activities with Crew Managers, Leads, and other Extrusion Operators. To be successful, an individual must be able to perform all types of set ups in an efficient and effective fashion. The person must excel in all start up and troubleshooting technique, and be able to demonstrate those on a regular basis.
Core Responsibilities:
- Perform all required duties in a safe manner by following ALL company policies & procedures
- Prioritize with Team Lead and Crew Manager the scheduled start-ups and changeovers
- Set a strong example with good attendance records and timelines.
- Communicate any deviation from the production report rate to the Team Lead.
- Assist troubleshooting and starting up lines that Extrusion Operators cannot solve.
- Assist with training in depth technical extrusion skills and techniques.
- Coordinate, oversee and participate in the training for Extrusion Operators of all levels.
- Leading root cause evaluations and formal problem-solving efforts.
- Initiate and lead process improvement efforts including technical and organizational changes.
- Back up the Team Lead and manage the cell in the event of the Team Lead absence.
- Understand screw design and screw processing fundamentals and train teammates.
- Set up and troubleshoot ink jet printers.
- Evaluate tools in order to determine the next steps for a tool in the event of a DNR.
- Troubleshoot and train to the MES production software.
- Mentor and develop Extrusion Operators of all levels.
Qualifications:
- 2-4 years in Extrusion or related experience and/or training preferred.
- Must be able to lift 65 lbs
