Why Us:
The Dechoker is an airway clearing device that can be used for choking first aid on anyone 12 months old and up, regardless of illness, disorder, or other health-related condition.
This position is responsible for the success of our corporate office team to include accounting activities, human resources, office operations, and other business tasks. We are looking for someone who provides quality services to attract, develop, empower, and retain a diverse and highly effective workforce capable of advancing Dechoker’s mission.
About You:
The successful office manager is an energetic professional who doesn't mind wearing multiple hats. Experienced in handling a wide range of administrative duties and executive support-related tasks and able to work independently with little or no supervision. Well organized, flexible, and enjoys the administrative challenges of supporting an office of diverse people. You have a results-oriented approach that balances a “take charge, do-whatever-it-takes” attitude with teamwork and collaboration.
HR Duties:
- Minimum of 3 years in HR experience (preferably 5 years).
- Responsible for the successful day-to-day results of the HR unit including, but not limited to, employee support, leadership coaching, employment practices, appointment administration changes and payroll.
- You should be a friendly place that communicates clearly and effectively.
- Manage the full life cycle recruiting and onboarding/offboarding processes. This includes setting up meetings with the executive team, and managing training/exit meetings
- Oversee and act as the primary point of contact for employee HR and Benefits programs. This includes onboarding and managing benefits such as Health, Dental, Vision, etc. using Gusto. Available to have open and honest discussions with employees.
- Liaise with the CFO regarding all employee benefits, projections and budgeting.
- Liaise with executive management to coordinate, plan and execute various tasks
- Creating organization strategies and familiarity with Monday.com project management system and able to respond appropriately and track progress of projects.
- Responsible for strategic prioritization, along with time and resource allocation, for the unit.
- Fostering a positive company culture focused on engagement.
- Staying compliant within state and federal employment laws, and amending agreements with our supplies and purchasers.
Accounting Duties:
- Produce accurate, complete and timely financial statements and other management reports on a monthly basis.
- Ensure business leaders understand where they are vs. budget and have the information they need to manage their budget.
- Overseeing office operations including monitoring expenses, purchases, and credit card transactions.
- Work with business leaders to ensure the accurate and timely cost of goods for all production and purchased times.
- Ensure policy and procedures are in place for accurate inventory valuation.
- Prepare and review financial information for internal and external tax preparers.
- Assist in the evaluation of tax implications for various situations and assist in making recommendations.
- Maintain Account Receiving
Office Duties:
- Coordinating and monitoring the executive team’s calendar and schedule using Google Calendar
- Ensure all office supplies are stocked and/or ordered in a timely fashion
- Act as the main point of contact for building management to support off-hour requests and any emergency needs
- Independent work style that anticipates needs and proactively resolves problems with little supervision
- Organize and maintain Dropbox and paper filing systems
- Manage and set up office equipment such as laptops, monitors, keyboards. Ensure everyone has access to the equipment they need, and be able to troubleshoot accordingly.
- Responsible for running errands and keeping the office in working order
- Highly detail-oriented with excellent time management, prioritization, and organizational skills
- Must be comfortable working some evenings and very occasional weekends
- Your Google-it problem-solving skills are top notch
