What are the responsibilities and job description for the Financial Business Analyst position at DecksDirect?

 

DecksDirect is seeking a Retail Analyst to join our aggressively growing team to support our mission of helping people build better decks! This position is an integral part of our team by being held accountable for analytic performance insights, identifying process improvements, and owning key reporting. The Retail Analyst will also provide lead support in working with our category teams in areas of forecasting and inventory management.

Responsibilities 

 

  • Proactively monitor operational and financial performance data to spot trends in the business, determine root causes, and resolve/drive improvement.
  • Analyze product performance to enhance forecast and replenishment process.
  • Manage ad hoc projects focusing on business growth and profitability based on business priorities.
  • Stay informed on the technology agenda across systems and departments necessary to enable business specific requirements.

 

Qualifications

  • 4 years of work experience 
  • Proven experience with large data sets and analysis – proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerBI, or another related database preferred.
  • Strong business acumen – ability to understand how various parts of the business interact and can identify and approach problems from a customer perspective.
  • Progressive thinking and problem-solving skills
