Overview:
DeCoach Recovery Centre is seeking a dedicated and vigilant individual to join our team as an Overnight Security Officer for our residential substance abuse program. The position involves ensuring a calm and safe environment in our facility to facilitate a speedy recovery.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor participants and outside happenings at the facility.
- Ensure participants adhere to program guidelines and restrictions.
- Prevent participants from leaving the program premises.
- Conduct regular checks and patrols to maintain a secure and safe environment.
- Respond promptly to any incidents, emergencies, or disturbances, and take appropriate actions.
- Document and report any violations or incidents to program supervisors.
- Collaborate with other staff to address security concerns and coordinate any necessary actions.
- Maintain a professional and respectful demeanor when interacting with program participants.
Requirements:
- Prior experience in security or a related field is preferred.
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle challenging situations with professionalism and composure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable and punctual, with the ability to work independently.
- Understanding of the sensitive nature of recovery programs and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
