What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lowboy Driver - DeCook Excavating position at DeCook Excavating?
The Lowboy Driver for DeCook Companies is responsible for moving equipment to and from job locations with a semi tractor and trailers. It is critical that the loading and unloading of various equipment is done safely and in a timely manner.
Responsibilities:
- Loading/unloading equipment
- Keeping track of equipment locations
- Greasing and cleaning trucks / trailers
- Ensures safety measures are always taken
- Punctual time management with the ability to stay on schedule
- Able to communicate with various employees
- Maintains permits as needed
- Maintains CDL, clean driving record and medical card
Physical Demands:
- Getting in and out of the truck multiple times a day
- Tying down equipment
- Climbing up and down equipment on/off of a trailer
- Sitting for long periods of time
- Bending/crouching & squatting/kneeling
- Work in all weather conditions
- Lift/Pull/Carry up to 80-100 lbs
Requirements:
- Must have a valid MN CDL
- Must be able to pass a drug & background check
- Must have a clean driving record with the ability to pass a MVR
