DESCRIPTION
Decypher is seeking PACU RN candidates to support Eglin AFB, FL.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide age-specific care based on Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) of the Fort Hood, Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center Inpatient Clinics; specific health care provider's orders; the physical, mental and emotional needs of the patient; and the policies and procedures. The HCW performing services under this agreement shall have sufficient experience to be able to adequately treat diseases and injuries to include, but not be limited to, the following:

- Assist Conscious/moderation sedation
- Pre-operative, intraoperative, and post-operative care
- Recover post-surgical patients including post-cesarean section patients under general anesthesia
- Administer and support infusion therapy services

- Ability to perform the following procedures (specialty-specific) as a registered nurse is required but not limited to:
- 12 Lead EKG placement and monitoring
- Insertion and maintenance of oral and nasopharyngeal airways and positive pressure ventilations
- Visual Acuity check
- Telemetry monitor
- Orthostatic (tilt) vital signs
- Wound cleaning/Dressing changes
- Phlebotomy
- Eye, wound and ear irrigation
- Sterile prep for minor surgical procedures
- Medication administration per licensure and certification administer, titrate, and assess including reversal agents
- Administer immunizations to all age groups with appropriate medical record review
- Set up, operate, and monitor medical equipment
- Communicate with Provider, CNOIC, COR - to include expressing concerns regarding patient interview to Provider
- Access Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
- Patient History/Medication reconciliation/Physical assessments/Assess vital signs/Comprehensive behavioral health nursing assessments/Obtain measurements and completes appropriate health screenings
- Patient/Family education
- Participate in CODE responses/Call CODES as required
- Respond to cardiopulmonary arrest as appropriate and arrange appropriate backup from the Emergency Medical Service (EMS)
- Follow all hospital policies, procedures, regulations, and Joint Commission Standards (TJC)
- Perform appointment setting through use of CHCS as needed in support of clinic functions
- Perform daily quality control checks on clinic glucose test monitor under supervision of senior nursing personnel
- Assist Front Desk operations, as needed, to be determined by clinic Leadership team
- Maintain a Competency Assessment Folder and keeps the COR informed of issues to include all mandatory trainings
- Assist with preparing clinic for business prior to starting patient care
- Transport patients to other units/departments assuring safety of patient
- Peripheral venous lines
RN Specific Core Duties. In addition to the above general core duties, ability to perform the following procedures as an ASC/PACU registered nurse is required but not limited to:
- Assist Conscious/moderation sedation
- Pre-operative, intraoperative, and post-operative care
- Recover post-surgical patients including post-cesarean section patients under general anesthesia
- Administer and support infusion therapy services
Qualifications
- One (2)-years experience within the last three (3)-years, which includes the care of adults and newborns.

- ACLS
- PALS
