Director of Nursing

DediCare Solutions is looking for an experienced Director of Nursing to organize and oversee all nursing operations of the organization. The individual must continue to cultivate a collaborative and efficient workplace with attention to quality standards and policies. The Director of Nursing must be a Registered Nurse with 2 years of administrative experience preferred and 5 plus years as a successful caregiver in a combination of hospital, facility and in home care placement. The individual must be a self-starter, independent thinker and able to problem solve on a dime.

Pay is dependent on part-time or full-time employment.

Responsibilities

• Direct, oversee and evaluate all caregivers in the field including nurses.
• Oversee hiring of all nursing field staff and, eventually, clinical supervisors.
• Assess potential new cases and make recommendations to leadership team.
• Update care plans as needed and complete bi-annual supervisory visits.
• Ensure semi monthly trainings are sent out in a timely manner
• Communicate with client families as needed.
• Implement nursing policies.
• Ensure client appointments are communicated/coordinated and properly documented within client’s schedule and file.
• Complete caregiver assessments and nursing portion of orientation including hands on training as appropriate.
• Ensure all caregivers are trained when assigned to shifts to ensure consistent and strong coverage.
• Complete med sets and nurse visits, as needed.
• May be required to cover shifts as needed including clients that use a trach and/or vent.
• Assist in weekend and holiday on call rotation.
• Additional duties as assigned.

Skills

• Registered Nursing Degree Required.
• Proven experience as Director of Nursing.
• In-depth knowledge of hospital procedures and KPI/KQIs of patient care
• Knowledge of ICD-10 codes
• Knowledge of legal regulations and best practices in healthcare
• Ability to work with trach and vent patients of all ages
• Excellent ability to lead and develop personnel
• Great communication and people skills
• Outstanding organizational and stress management skills
• Aptitude in problem-solving
• Degree in nursing; Master’s degree in nursing or healthcare administration is a plus
• Valid Michigan Drivers License

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $24,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
