Objective:
The Construction & Remodeling Services (Mechanic’s Division) Manager is responsible for the overall day-to-day management of the operations, personnel, and business of his/her division in concert with the project manager and Vice-President. The incumbent oversees all of the activities of the division at the field level and is responsible for the operations of the division from the estimate/proposal stage through project execution. This position also involves the selection, training/mentoring, and supervision of all subordinate personnel in the division as well as ensuring compliance with all company procedures/policies, Safety Plan and established quality standards. This individual creates and implements policy and works closely with senior management. Decision making authority is broad.
Essential Functions
· Meets and interacts with customers in a pleasant and professional manner.
· Formulates detailed material, labor and equipment cost estimates for the work of the division and prepares proposals for customers.
· Schedules approved work in concert with the corporate office personnel.
· Manages and supervises the work-in-progress of the division. Ensures work is executed on-time and in accordance with the project budget and the company’s quality standards.
· Manages and supervises subordinate personnel with the division in concert with the Project Manager and Vice-President. This includes interviewing and hiring new employees and supervising, mentoring, training, and evaluating existing employees (including the annual review process).
· Selects and supervises subcontractors.
· Provides overall management, leadership, and support of the division.
· Enforces all company policies and procedures.
· In concert with the project manager and Vice-President, ensures the indirect expenses of division remain within annual budgets.
· Works in conjunction with Purchasing Department to buy project materials utilizing purchase orders.
· Participates in snow removal operations as a field supervisor and operator.
· Responsible for overseeing the company’s shop/yard facilities to maintain organization, safety and security for stored equipment and materials.
· Other duties as assigned by your immediate supervisor
Minimum Qualifications
· High school diploma or GED.
· Advanced knowledge and skillset of all the trade work accomplished by division including but not limited to rough & finish carpentry, concrete flatwork, light electrical/plumbing, roofing, etc.
· Advanced knowledge of standard construction practices.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment both independently and as part of a team.
· Intermediate level PC skills including use of MS Office Suite.
· Attention to safety and promotion of safe work practices.
· Qualified or ability to be qualified as an operator of all heavy equipment.
· Valid Pennsylvania Driver’s License.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
