What are the responsibilities and job description for the Talent Recruiter position at Dee Zee, Inc.?
POSITION SUMMARY – Functions in a team environment with other Human Resources associates; will be responsible for providing a broad range of employment and staffing services to internal departments. WORK ENVIRONMENT— Must be willing and able to work in an environment exposed to elements that can include but are not limited to coolant, dust, mist, elevated noise, and uncontrolled temperatures.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Establish processes with community recruiting organizations including Army Pays, Iowa Workforce Development, Refugee Services, Catholic Charities, etc.; manage the programs and integrate their services into our recruiting model; work as the liaison and network within to get Dee Zee noticed as a vital organization nationwide
- Establish a recruiting model for all positions; develop and implement search strategies
- Measure and report metrics monthly- number of applicants, time to fill, sourcing channel, cost to fill, retention rate, offer acceptance ration, diversity mix, etc.
- Recruit quality candidates
- Partner with business managers to anticipate and meet the needs of the evolving business
- Manage recruiting vendors- radio, internet, and print vendors as well as temporary associate vendors
- Work with colleges and universities in Iowa; utilize their advisors/instructors and job boards
- Participate/register/attend career fairs on a regular basis
- Oversee job boards and social media recruiting efforts
- Participate in networking groups to help Dee Zee be more connected to the community (Employers Council of Iowa, Central Iowa HR Group, etc.)
- Consult with hiring managers to determine compensation for new employees
- Assess and evaluate turnover; formulate plans for reducing turnover
- Other Human Resource responsibilities as assigned
- Ability to stop the production line and/or prevent shipment of products due to nonconformance or potential nonconformance products to our customers
- Support the environmental policy with proactive process implementation, improvement suggestions, reducing waste, and acting on environment performance results and findings
SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Obtain a strong understanding and ability to recruit in all levels of the organization from entry level to executive staff
- Excellent interpersonal skills, communication skills, and team-based project experience
- Clear understanding of the end-to-end recruitment lifecycle processes (Sourcing, attracting, recruiting, interviewing, and on-boarding)
- Experience on mapping and sourcing resumes from all sources
- Strong vendor manager skills related to recruitment activities such as search firms, community outreach programs, and job boards
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field preferred
Experience: Five or more years of Staffing/Recruitment experience; experience in general Human Resources functions would be an advantage
Computer Skills: Must demonstrate computer literacy; Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and possess in depth knowledge of data mining and internet research; social media and job boards experience desired
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $43,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
