What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Worker position at Deep Foods?
Responsibilities:
- Perform various warehouse duties including but not limited to: receiving, picking, packing, and shipping
- Operate a cherry picker and other warehouse equipment to move and stack materials
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisor and management to ensure efficient operations
- Maintain inventory control by accurately counting and recording incoming and outgoing products
- Utilize AS400 system or other inventory management software to track orders and update inventory records
- Fulfill customer orders by picking and packing items according to order specifications
- Load and unload trucks using proper equipment and techniques
- Use RF scanner to scan barcodes and ensure accurate order fulfillment
- Assist in building pallets or crates for shipping
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a warehouse worker or similar role preferred
- Mechanical knowledge of warehouse equipment such as cherry pickers, pallet jacks, etc.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Proficient in inventory control procedures and systems, such as AS400
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Physically capable of lifting heavy objects and standing for extended periods of time
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team
