Job Description: Roustabout - Pipeline Worker
**Based in Kenedy, TX**
$17.00/ Hour
Full Time - Overtime as Needed
10-12/ Hour Shifts (40 hours a week, Overtime available)
Pay frequency: weekly.
Pay based on experience starting at $17.00 per hour. Possible Schedule/ Shifts: _Monday thru Sunday (varies depending on work) dayshift or nightshift Primary Job Duties:
As a Roustabout overall responsibility is performing labor intensive tasks within the pipeline department and at times assisting in other departments as needed. Though daily job activities/ duties vary in labor requirements depending on the job for the day, all work is required to be conducted both safely and efficiently while remaining within compliance of all regulations, guidelines and policies set forth by the Department of Transportation, DeepWell Energy Services, LLC and the clients and customers in which we do business for. Additional Job Duties:
Performing a variety of physical labor tasks both efficiently and safely while following specific instruction from supervision.
Working on a pipeline location, construction location or other designated work area performing manual labor which could include but is not limited to digging ditch lines, placing posts, spotting equipment, lifting, and carrying bags of sand or concrete, site cleanup, ext...
Following specific instructions and directions as well as navigation to and from oilfield locations.
Using problem solving skills to work around complex situations and coordinating daily work requirements while exercising adequate time management skills.
Good communication skills in order to relay and understand specific instructions from management, supervisors, clients/ customers and fellow coworkers.
Roustabouts must utilize reading, writing, computer/ technology, and basic arithmetic skills in order to track, record and complete invoice tickets, daily time records, receipt records, ext.
Minimum Position Requirements/ Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years’ Experience:
Follow instructions from pusher.
Experience in receiving material.
Experience in string skids and cones for pipeline construction
Pipe spacing for welding for pipeline construction.
Assisting welders.
Be familiar with the coding pipe process.
Have a valid Driver’s License.
Pass a Physical Examination, Drug Screen and, if required, a MEQ & Respirator Fit Test.
Ability to communicate and follow specific instructions clearly, courteously, and efficiently.
Basic motor and coordination skills to avoid dangers such as moving objects, vehicles, ext…
Must have basic cognitive skills; such as the ability to read, reason, remember and pay attention to details with the ability to multi task efficiently while maintaining satisfactory performance.
Must be able to pass a Hair Follicle Test
Physical Demands:
Must be able to lift and carry an excess of 80 lbs. (bags of cement, sand, posts, fencing, ext…)
Standing for long periods of time, excess of 1-12 hours at a time.
Sitting for long periods of time, excess of 1-6 hours at a time.
Other physical demands include, but are not limited to, continuous bending, reaching, shoveling, pulling, pushing, climbing, crawling, and squatting multiple times throughout the day for various labor task requirements.
Able to work in the elements such as rain, snow, and heat for extended periods of time.
