Chemical Blending Operator
In this position, you are partnered alongside the Production Manager and the Production team in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. As a Chemical Blending Operator, you will be responsible for creating DPG products according to established procedures and batch sheets. You will also be responsible for loading & unloading tanker trailers.
What you will do:
- Produce both hazardous and non-hazardous products to detailed specifications.
- Must wear the required Personal Protective Equipment for each application.
- Accurately fill and label storage tanks & other containers with the finished product.
- Follow Work Instructions and Standard Operating Procedures as you safely work in a production environment with time standards and efficiency expectations.
- Maintain cleanliness in warehouse, production & loading zones.
- Mix and blend dry & liquid raw materials according to batch sheets.
- Comply with all Environmental, Health, and Safety Standards.
- Performs manual duties as assigned.
- Ships and receives products according to the company’s procedures and requirements.
- Assists in the maintenance of production equipment.
- Ensures product quality through accurately following procedures & batch sheets.
- Additional duties as assigned.
What you will need:
- A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.
- Physical ability to lift and carry at least 55 lbs. for short distances.
- Physical ability to stand and walk for long periods.
- Successfully pass background and drug screen.
- Dependability with flexibility to work overtime and weekends to support business needs.
- Exposure to dirt, noise, and hazardous chemicals daily. It will require safety equipment and/or precautions.
- Must meet Physical Fit Test requirements to wear a respirator. Cannot have any facial hair that may interfere with a respirator seal.
Skills:
- Previous experience handling hazardous chemicals is strongly preferred.
- Astute attention to detail to drive Safety and Quality.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment.
- Possess knowledge of operating truck scales, floor scales, and tank scales.
- Ability to read, comprehend, and carry out detailed and simple instructions and write simple correspondence.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
