What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance - Industrial Maintenance Technician - 2nd or 3rd Shift position at Default Brand?
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Install and maintain production machines and facility equipment
- Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production
- Performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service
- Performs simple machinist duties and responsibilities
- Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of production machines
- Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service
- Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test, and make adjustments for production machines
- Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities
- Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions
- Use a variety of hand tools, power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment in performing duties
- Detect faulty operations and defective material and report those, and any unusual situations, to proper supervision
- Perform additional responsibilities as requested to achieve business objectives
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent and completion of a craft apprenticeship; or an equivalent number of years of education and production maintenance experience
- An Associates' Degree in mechanical, electrical or industrial maintenance a plus
- 4 years of manufacturing experience
- Strong hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and industrial skills with some PLC and HVAC experience
- Must be able to stand/walk for up to 8-9 hours per day
- Must be able to lift, push, pull up to 40 pounds on a regular basis and up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Must have good hand/eye coordination
