General Summary:
Part Time: Two 10 hour shifts. Once every 3rd Saturday-4 hour shift. Under the direction of the Imaging Services Department Director, works collaboratively with members of the Imaging Services team and other departments throughout the facility to provide safe, quality care. Provides general clerical assistance to the Imaging Department staff. Provide patient care duties including patient transport. Maintains transportation devices, i.e. wheelchairs, stretchers. Performs other duties as required.
Essential Functions:
- Maintains the area and work equipment.
- Performs a variety of assisting and servicing activities, both with the patients and to help maintain the area.
- Processes requests for medical records.
- Greets and directs patients.
- Performs all responsibilities/duties required by the patient as defined in the scope of service, to assure that the unique nature of the client is addressed.
- Demonstrates respect and regard for the dignity of all patients, families, visitors, and fellow employees to ensure a professional, responsible and courteous environment.
- Promotes effective working relations and works effectively as part of a department/unit team inter- and intradepartmentally to facilitate the department’s/unit’s ability to meet its goals and objectives.
- Works effectively as part of the healthcare team to facilitate the unit's ability to meet its goals and objectives.
- Transports or moves patients with appropriate awareness of uniqueness of patient, ranging from neonate to adult.
