Summary
The mission of the Defense POW / MIA Accounting Agency (DPAA) is to research, investigate, recover, and identify remains of Department of Defense (DoD) personnel unaccounted for from World War II, the Korean War, the Vietnam War, the Cold War, the Iraq conflicts and the Persian Gulf War, and to disseminate appropriate information on the status of missing persons from past conflicts to authorized family members.
Duties
Incumbent typical work assignments may include the following :
- Directs the development, implementation, and operation of an integrated Anti-Terrorism (AT) program.
- Conducts comprehensive review and analysis of the activities AT plan, assessments, and survey reports for compliance with existing policies, procedures and supporting documents.
- Advises Director of Security and Base and Law Enforcement deficiencies that would affect the posture of the facility.
- Coordinates and synchronizes Anti-terrorism with related plans including threat collection plans, information security plans, crisis management plans, terrorist response plans, weapons of mass destruction response plans, mass casualty plans, and physical security plans.
- Coordinates meetings with internal partners and external stakeholders to acquire information and action concurrence. Provides guidance on policy and compliance with AT program objectives.
- Plans, develops, coordinates, executes, and tracks annual Antiterrorism Level I Training for all employees of assigned area and serves as the primary instructor for all training.
