Details: Temporary position expected to last 6 months. 20-30 hours a week.
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Accounting Assistant to support the accounting department of our company. The Accounting Assistant will be responsible for various tasks, including data entry, reconciling accounts, preparing reports, and assisting with month-end and year-end close.
Supervisory Responsibilities

Essential Duties
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
- Process invoices, expense reports, and other financial documents.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts.
- Assist with month-end close, including preparing journal entries and financial reports.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records.
- Respond to inquiries from vendors and customers regarding invoices and payments.
- Assist in preparing budgets and financial forecasts.
- Provide general administrative support to the accounting department.
Required Skills and Abilities
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software.
- Understanding of basic accounting principles.
- Knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance preferred, but not required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an accounting or assisting role.
Physical Requirements
- This position requires the ability to sit for extended periods and perform tasks on a computer in an office environment.
