Housekeeper

Description

This position is part-time to start with potential to become full-time later this summer or fall if not sooner.  This position requires strong work ethic, ability to show up when scheduled, and ability to work independently.  Knowledge of confidentiality of medical treatment facility (HIPAA) is required for this position.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Utilizes proper safety procedures
• Attend on-going meetings and trainings
• Plans and implements all activities related to day to day housekeeping needs of facility
• Makes beds
• Cleans bedrooms, common areas and bathrooms each day
• Responsible for laundry services of bed linens and bath towels
• Cleaning mirrors and other glass surfaces
• Emptying trash receptacles and disposing of waste
• Must utilize Personal Protective Equipment, i.e. gloves, while cleaning potentially contaminated areas and abide by Universal Health Precautions
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Education

• High School Degree, or equivalent

Experience

• Minimum of one year experience in housekeeping
• If self identifying as in recovery, must have a minimum of six months of sustained recovery
