Job Posting for Tax Manager/Director at DEKA Research & Development

Seeking a hands-on Tax Manager for a group of commonly owned companies. Currently a part-time position, however full-time is possible, depending on breadth of non-tax skills. 

How you will make an impact:

  • Provide tax planning and analysis in the following areas:
    • Deal structuring
    • Research & development
    • Real estate
    • Company aircraft
    • State taxation
    • Foreign tax
    • Flow-through entities
    • High net worth individuals
    • Private foundations
  • Fulfill all tax reporting requirements for about 30 entities and several owners
  • Work closely with and provide support to finance, HR and legal
  • Interaction and communication with all levels of employees

Skills we are looking for:

  • 8 years professional experience with superior judgment
  • Energetic, flexible team player who desires to operate in a changing environment.  High attention to detail, with an ability to independently prioritize and organize projects
  • Superior written and oral communication, including ability to communicate effectively with non-financial managers and all levels of personnel
  • Position requires an individual with significant tax experience, preferably a combination of Big 4 and industry
  • Requires a BS/BA in accounting or finance.  MST or CPA a plus
  • Proficiency with tax software and reporting, as tax compliance is completed in-house
