Primary Responsibilities:The Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Director is responsible for leading a team of financial analysts, working closely with the executive and senior leadership teams to formulate and monitor the company’s short to long-term financial goals. This includes ownership and development of the company’s annual operating plan, 13-week rolling cash forecast, monthly financial reporting, financial projection modeling, and capital investment strategy. This role will also be responsible for establishing and reporting operational KPIs under a Balanced Scorecard approach. The Director will work closely with the company’s Controller and Chief Financial Officer to create a world class finance culture.
Specific Duties & Tasks:
Responsible for leading a team of 1-5 financial analysts focused on corporate, branch, and business unit analytics.
Ownership of the Annual Operating Plan including the Income Statement, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow Statements.
Produce monthly, quarterly, annual, and long-term financial projections as well as rolling 12-month, driver-based forecasts.
Develop and maintain a 13-week rolling cash forecast.
Implement and monitor operational performance indicators and develop real-time dashboards for disseminating key information.
Generate monthly variance analyses comparing actual results to plan and forecast.
Create pro forma financial statements for all future, or subsequently planned events.
Increase the accuracy and timeliness of dimensional reported data, including revisions to corporate cost allocation drivers.
Build and maintain Customer Profitability Matrix for new construction market and develop Lifetime Value to Customer Acquisition Cost Analysis on monthly recurring revenue streams.
Institute monthly reviews of financial performance with each department leader and prepare/present consolidated management discussion and analysis with CFO.
Perform SWOT Analysis, including competitive landscaping, market research, and industry analysis.
Responsible for reporting working capital changes, debt/covenant performance, and shareholder value creation.
Propose opportunities for process and workflow improvements, including development of cost-out/cost-savings programs.
Responsible for preparing thorough analysis on capital investment strategy, including Net Present Value of investment’s discounted cash flows, Investment Payback Period, and Return on Investment, as well as reporting capital resources available for investment, and return on asset performance.
Responsible for maintaining a safe workplace and ensuring that safety is the highest priority in the workplace.
Responsible for special projects as requested by management and other duties/ responsibilities as assigned to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.
Ensure compliance with all Del-Air policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, or Accounting required. Master’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration, preferred.
5-10 years of experience
Ability to thrive in a team environment
Computer literate with expert knowledge in MS Office Suite – Word, Excel, PowerPoint; working knowledge of all office equipment
Eligible to legally work in the United States
Successfully complete a background check and drug screen
