What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sanitation Crew Lead position at Del Monte Foods, Inc?
Provides supervision, leadership and training to the clean-up crew. Must have a working knowledge of how the plant operates and possesses good communication skills. Operates any of the company's equipment and tools, in conjunction with sanitation responsibilities.
Primary Responsibilities
- Observes general state of the plant each day to determine which tasks need to be accomplished during the shift.
- Assigns to sanitation crew the tasks that must be completed each shift.
- Oversees the cleaning operation (see also Sanitation Crew job description).
- Consults with shift lead to determine down times for production lines and if there will be any mechanical operations taking place during the cleaning process.
- Analyzes bacteria counts each day and concentrates on problem areas.
- Completes shift reports, timecards and other paperwork as required.
- Tests new products and technology.
- Identifies potential safety hazards in the plant.
- Stresses the importance of safety to the crew.
- Verifies that the clean—up crew completes all assigned duties in a safe and efficient manner.
Must receive, understand and implement MSDS training and Safety regulations.
