Vice President of Treasury

Purpose of Position:

This role entails strategic financial management, risk mitigation, and optimizing the company's capital structure, cash flow, and liquidity. The Global Director/Sr. Director of Treasury plays a critical role in shaping the company's financial strategy and ensuring its financial stability and growth.

Accountabilities:

• Treasury Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive treasury strategy that optimizes the company's capital structure, cash management, and liquidity while minimizing financial risk.
• Cash Management: Oversee the company's cash and liquidity management, ensuring efficient use of cash resources to meet operational needs, investment opportunities, and debt obligations.
• Capital Structure Management: Manage the company's debt and equity financing, evaluating options for raising capital and determining the most cost-effective and strategic approaches.
• Foreign Exchange Management: Develop strategies to manage foreign exchange exposure, including currency risk mitigation, hedging, and optimizing currency conversion processes.
• Interest Rate Risk Management: Evaluate and manage interest rate risks associated with the company's debt portfolio, implementing strategies to mitigate adverse impacts of interest rate fluctuations.
• Banking Relationships: Manage relationships with banks and financial institutions, negotiating terms, fees, and services to optimize banking services and minimize costs.
• Debt Management: Monitor and manage the company's debt portfolio, including debt issuance, refinancing, and debt covenant compliance.
• Treasury Operations: Lead the execution of daily treasury operations, including cash flow forecasting, fund transfers, and liquidity planning.
• Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Identify, assess, and quantify financial and operational risks that the company may face. Develop strategies and mechanisms to mitigate these risks effectively.
• Insurance Policy Management: Oversee the company's insurance policies, including property, liability, directors and officers (D&O) liability, cyber insurance, and other relevant coverages. Ensure appropriate coverage levels and compliance with contractual obligations.
• Claims Management: Manage the claims process for insurance policies, working closely with internal teams, insurance brokers, and legal counsel to facilitate the timely and accurate resolution of claims.
• Insurance Procurement: Evaluate insurance providers, negotiate terms, and select insurance policies that align with the company's risk profile and business needs. Ensure cost-effective coverage without compromising on necessary protection.
• Risk Financing: Determine the appropriate risk financing strategies, which may include self-insurance, captives, and other risk transfer mechanisms, to optimize the company's risk exposure and financial resources.
• Contractual Risk Management: Review contracts, agreements, and business relationships to assess potential risks and ensure proper insurance coverage to mitigate liabilities when applicable.
• Compliance and Regulatory Oversight: Stay updated on regulatory changes and compliance requirements related to insurance policies and risk management. Ensure the company's adherence to relevant laws and regulations.
• Stakeholder Communication: Collaborate with senior management, legal teams to provide insights on the company's risk exposure and insurance coverage strategies.
• Crisis and Business Continuity Planning: Contribute to the development of crisis response and business continuity plans, ensuring that insurance coverage aligns with potential risks and scenarios.
• Vendor and Broker Management: Manage relationships with insurance brokers, carriers, and other service providers, ensuring alignment with the company's risk management goals.
• Financial Modeling and Analysis: Utilize financial modeling and data analysis to assess the financial impact of different risk scenarios and insurance coverage options.
• Leadership and Team Development: Lead and mentor a team of professionals within the treasury and risk management function, fostering skill development and a culture of risk awareness.

Minimum Skills Required:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required; MBA preferred.
• Certified Public Accountant status highly desired.
• Must have previous experience as Corporate Controller of a Public-Trade Company
• Must have previous experience leading Finance Transformation or implementing Finance Shared Services at a medium size corporation.
• Minimum ten years of experience in the financial function is required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Thorough knowledge of financial best practices and requirements with a proven ability to provide sound and ethical financial counsel to executive leadership.
• Thorough understanding of and personal involvement with systems and methodologies of finance and administration.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
