Certified Teachers needed in Delaware County PA

The DCIU is seeking Certified Teachers in any subject for full-time positions working with students in our Special Education programs located in various Delaware County locations. There are several teaching positions available, in our Special Education classrooms located in our Broomall PA location. Our programs provide an appropriate individualized program in the least restrictive environment for each student to support the instructional process by serving as a teacher and working as part of our robust team of professionals in developing special education students' success in academics, interpersonal skills and activities of daily living, supervising students within the classroom and other assigned areas.

Qualifications:

• Must have a PA Certification in any subject and be willing to be emergency certified in Special Education
• Must have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree.
• Must have or be able to get up-to-date PA Clearances

Responsibilities:

Delivering group and individual student instruction within established curriculum guidelines and lesson plans; collaborating with other teachers, other professional staff, and administrators in addressing instructional and/or classroom issues; and responding to a wide range of inquiries from students’ parents or guardians regarding instructional program and student progress.

Responsibilities:
- Create and implement lesson plans that align with the curriculum and educational standards
- Provide instruction to students in various subjects, including math and physical education
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students
- Assess student progress and provide feedback on their academic performance
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to develop and implement educational programs
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and behavior
- Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress and any concerns

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field
- Valid teaching certification/license
- Experience working with children in a daycare or educational setting
- Strong knowledge of the subject matter, particularly in math and physical education
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students
- Patience, creativity, and a passion for working with children

Note: Child welfare experience is a plus, but not required. Tutoring experience is also beneficial.
