The Opportunity
Position Summary
Milwaukee Sportervice HR Team is currently looking for candidates to assist with ensuring responsible service of alcohol throughout the entire building, including training and supervision of personnel, in accordance with Company’s Alcohol Policies and applicable Operational Standards.
Essential Functions:
- Supervises the alcohol service employees are providing. Willing to work events which includes; nights, days, weekends and holidays
- Observes and documents any alcohol related issues
- Ensures employees are adhering to the alcohol service policy, ensuring responsible alcohol service
- Alerts management to any violations of the alcohol policy & assists with proper disciplinary action
- Answers employee questions regarding alcohol service
- Assists employees with alcohol related issues if necessary
- Ensures all employees have signed the daily alcohol sign off form prior to beginning work
- Willing be able to become a Certified Alcohol Trainer and assist with alcohol training
- Performs other duties as assigned by management
- Assists with alcohol cut-off
Education & Experience:
- Previous supervisory experience preferred.
- Must be able to obtain a City of Milwaukee Bartenders License
- Must be at least 18 years of age
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Excellent guest service skills; ability to adhere to Company’s Service Standards
- Ability to complete required pre-employment sanitation and alcohol service training
- Organizational skills; detail-oriented
- Ability to work accurately, efficiently, and courteously in a high pressure environment.
- Good leadership and training skills; ability to teach others as well as delegate tasks
- Good communication skills; ability to effectively communicate with guests, and retain and communicate menu information and service preferences
- Able to follow job procedures and manager instructions
- Basic math skills; ability to accurately account for cash and inventory
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand and walk for entire length of shift, including walking up and down stairs and lifting as the work duties demand (typically shift 4-5 hours)
Environmental Working Conditions:
- Variable temperatures – required to move between hot, noisy conditions of kitchen and climate-controlled dining environment
- May be required to work in confined and/or narrow spaces
