The Opportunity
Providence Bruins is hiring a Communications Specialist to join our team at Donkin' Donuts Center in Providence, Rhode Island . As a Communications Specialist, you will work with the PR Manager to create and execute an annual strategic PR and communications plan to position Donkin Donuts Center as the place to visit and a resource for media.

Responsibilities
- Coordinate and execute all media availabilities and requests for Providence Bruins coaches, players and staff
- Manage the Providence Bruins’ official social media accounts, including Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram; capturing and creating content to post on digital channels
- Assist with team operations on Providence Bruins road trips, including organizing and scheduling team meals, collecting and distributing per diem, etc.
- Oversee communication of team news and transactions, including official LeagueStat Transactions, press releases, postgame recaps
- Manage the photo and video database for the team, as well as create graphics for social media and website (Photoshop and InDesign experience preferred)
- Supervise gameday operations at Providence Bruins home games, including credential creation and distribution, as well as game night staff management
- Work with the Boston Bruins Community Relations department to plan and execute all community outreach events in the Providence area
- Help manage public relations and team operations for the Boston Bruins Summer Development Camp, Rookie Camp, and Prospects Challenge
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in PR, communications, marketing, or related subject required.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in PR, communications, journalism, or related field.
- Familiar with the Associated Press Stylebook for written materials.
- Organized and has a thorough approach to work and able to work effectively.
- Excellent writing and communication skills.
