Delaware Valley Residential Care is currently seeking a Behavioral Therapist to meet the ever-changing behavioral needs our program participants.

Responsibilities:

• Enhance program participants' functional competence in real-world situations through the attainment/re-attainment of skills through direct retraining, use of compensator strategies, and use of cognitive orthotics and prostheses
• Plan, Lead and facilitate team activities both in house and on outings
• Maximize residents' participation in groups and activities
• Counsels and encourages patients to develop leisure activities
• identify, address, de-escalate resident behaviors as necessary
• Compose Tally sheets, progress/service notes and all other necessary documents
• Prepares progress charts and periodic reports for medical staff and other members of treatment team

Qualifications:

• Master's Degree in Psychology, or a closely related Human Services field, required
• 2 years of experience in Cognitive Therapy, preferred
• Ability to lead both group and 1:1 sessions
• Ability to maintain a positive attitude and promote a positive environment for both team members and participants
• Ability to work weekends and holidays as scheduled
• Demonstrated ability to remain calm in tense and high-pressure situations
• Proven track record of timeliness and accountability
