Eye care technician
Job Posting for Eye care technician at Delaware Vision Academy, LLC
Job Overview:
We are looking for an optometric technician for a busy and growing, privately owned optometric practice. Our technicians assist the doctors with exams, assist with eyewear selection and provide contact lens education to our patients. A qualified candidate must have at least 1 year of experience with an eyecare facility as a technician or contact lens specialist. The right candidate must be reliable, professional, and show attention to detail. Our ideal technician would have knowledge of the following: taking a medical and ocular history, stereopsis, color testing, visual acuity, visual fields, pupil dilation, fundus photography, visual fields, and OCT's. Scheduling would include some early evenings, Saturdays 9-2 and one weekday off. Interested candidates should submit a cover letter and resume.
Skills:
- Strong patient care skills with the ability to provide compassionate care
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
- Experience with medical billing and insurance processes
- Familiarity with optical equipment and procedures (preferred)
- Experience working in pediatrics (preferred)
- Proficiency in medical office software systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.50 - $19.50 per hour

- Ophthalmology: 1 year (Preferred)
