As a Machinist, you will participate as a member of the production team to set up and operate CNC milling machines and lathes, as well as manual mills and lathes. You will aid in the production of our product by producing precision parts to close tolerances, instruments and tools.
Responsibilities include:
- Independently set up and operate a variety of machine tools such as lathes, milling machines
- Create fixtures to increase productivity of team members and decrease set up times
- Machining of parts needed for the current week’s production schedule in a timely and effective manner
- Machining of custom parts from stock using manual & Proto Trak CNC machines
- Build and repair machine shop tools
- Perform necessary calculations and correct interpretation of prints and drawings
- Provides input and recommendations for new designs and product upgrades/improvements
- You have a high school diploma/equivalent or higher and at least 5 years of experience as a CNC Machinist
- You are skilled in the use and programming of Proto Trak CNC machines as well as manual lathes, mills and other manufacturing machines and equipment
- You have solid experience using hand and standard tools and precision measuring instruments including calipers and micrometers
