Full Stack Developer

Location: Remote – United States

The security of customers’ data and systems is of paramount importance to Dell Technologies. Our Product and Application Security team designs and develops software and systems to minimize security risks within our products. As experts working at the forefront of security, we undertake vulnerability response handling, implement the secure development lifecycle, coordinate security certifications, and develop common software security components and toolkits. As well as ensuring the authenticity and integrity of the product code during product development, we mitigate risks of sourcing and delivery of counterfeit or maliciously tainted components in our products.

What you’ll achieve

As a Full Stack Developer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, integrating and testing of internal applications.


You will:

  • Build security capabilities to consistently Integrate and measure security continuously throughout the Software Lifecyle at speed and scale
  • Implement data driven applications for automation using Typescript, node.js for REST APIs
  • Build smart connectors to ingest data from variety of data sources, including structured and unstructured data into an SQL and/or NOSQL database
  • Leverage off-the-shelf reporting and visualization tools (Tableau, PowerBI) as much possible to build reports and when necessary build custom UI
  • Leverage ELK stack to build data processing capabilities for various applications
  • Build RESTful APIs to export data for consumption by external applications
  • Implement and test automation scripts using Python to automate routine tasks such as static code scan, dynamic application, image and network scanning
  • Use REST API to interact with web services provided by tools and create tool orchestration capabilities
  • Integrate and test automation artifacts in Gitlab or Jenkins based CI/CD pipelines
  • Follow Scrum process, participate in Scrum ceremonies and follow the incremental delivery model
  • Follow the best practices for code development and code hygiene using Gitlab
  • Maintain documentation and user guides in Confluence

Essential Requirements

  • Experience in development framework such Typescript, node.js (preferred) and react/angular.js.
  • Experience with REST API to build automation of web services
  • Experience in cloud based distributed computing and processing – Kafka, RabbitMQ, NGNIX
  • Knowledge of using and building Docker based deployments
  • Experience with Python based automation management and CI/CD orchestration with Jenkins / Gitlab CI / Ansible or equivalent
  • Experience in building and implementing data models and end to end architecture for data ingestion, storage and processing
  • Experience with data analytics or visualization software such as PowerBI, Tableau or Qlik
  • Experience in SQL and complex database query development and procedures
  • Experience in distributed code repositories such as Git (Gitlab/Github/Bitbucket)
  • Strong analytical, process management and reporting skills
  • Hands-On experience in writing shell scripts and python scripts for automating day-to-day tasks whenever necessary

Desired Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Security, Risk Management, Information Systems or related field with 8 years experience; or equivalent experience
