Job Role:

Tanzu Kubernetes Grid and Tanzu Kubernetes Clusters in Project Pacific is a key portion of Tanzu vision. This role is to help the engineering team deliver this vision, specifically running machine learning workloads like kubeflow. These areas are currently very underfunded and important to bring in engineers to help deliver a complete vision. Come join VMware's new and exciting Modern Applications Business Unit (MAPBU) team, made up of products and services under the Tanzu portfolio to help customers build, run and manage their most important applications. In this role, you will help develop operators to test advanced workloads in Tanzu Kubernetes Clusters.

Responsibilities:

As an Intern at VMware, you’ll take ownership of meaningful, big-picture projects and springboard an impactful career. Become immersed in all aspects of our innovative and collaborative culture, and ensure you get the full VMware experience. You’ll interact with industry thought leaders at one of our world class campuses and enjoy networking, community service, and career development events.

Required Skills :

  • Pursuing a BS or MS in CS or equivalent required, MS in CS or equivalent preferred
  • Experience in Go, Java, or C++ programming. Go programming is highly desired
  • Understanding of system architecture, including processors, storage, and networking
  • Self-motivated, passion to learn and being a great team player are the key asks

Preferred skills:

  • Experienced participating in agile development is a plus
  • Intern - Product Development- Tanzu Kubernetes Grid and Tanzu Kubernetes Clusters- Project Pacific
  • Strong communication and ability to working a teamwork driven environment
  • Experience with Cloud based services, Microservices a Cloud Computing class or similar experience
  • Previous internship experience is a plus
