What you’ll achieve
As a Principal Technical Content Developer, you will contribute to strategy, planning and overall design of technical content. In addition, you will collaborate with engineering, services, and user experience team stakeholders to craft intuitive, actionable, and easy-to-understand user experiences for Dell’s customer-facing digital properties and the company’s internal digital channels and tools. This could include user interface content, instructional content, and other elements of the end-to-end user experience for website and aaS journeys.
You will:
- Represent the organization on project teams and will assume technical project leadership roles while fostering collaboration within and across work groups.
- Write clear and concise content that includes interface language, accessibility content, and user experience guidelines for the users.
- Act as a customer advocate in user interface development activities and provide messaging and terminology recommendations based on customer workflows and use cases.
- Collaborate with UX research, content strategists, and other business stakeholders to establish content strategy, content governance, and UX standards within and across work groups.
- Actively seek customer inputs and collaborate with stakeholders to streamline product input and feedback, and how they translate to or impact customer-facing technical content.

Essential Requirements
- Experience writing for different use case scenarios on a large complex website or software applications.
- Ability to identify critical insights (whether through trends or through hard data) and organize them into actionable content plans that can be shared across content, UX, and engineering, and other business stakeholders.
- Experience participating in UX research teams to identify content requirements
- Superior editing and proofreading skills, as well as demonstrable professional experience writing for the Web.
- Experience in structured authoring (DITA-based) utilizing solutions such as xMetaL.
Desirable Requirements
- 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; Or, 6 years with a Master’s degree.
- Experience using Figma and Miro as well as working on Cloud-based deliverables.
