Description
The government is seeking a specialist in Metasys Direct Digital Control (DDC) systems by Johnson Controls International (JCI) to work on a project in Japan. Candidates must be local to Japan or willing to relocate.
The specialist will collaborate with various stakeholders to configure building-level HVAC DDC systems to integrate HVAC equipment and related devices into a central DDC server. The role involves supporting the setup and operation of a Facility and Energy Operations Center and a Smart Grid system. Key responsibilities and required expertise include:
- Configuring building-level DDC using JCI Metasys to integrate HVAC equipment and related devices into a central server.
- Serving as the subject matter expert (SME) on JCI Metasys.
- Participating in design and submittal reviews for new construction and renovation projects.
- Adhering to established DDC standards for projects.
- Monitoring the JCI Metasys system for any irregularities and coordinating with relevant personnel to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
- Ensuring quality assurance and control for corrective actions addressing operational issues.
- Providing recommendations to optimize building system performance.
- Conducting operational analysis of DDC and associated equipment using JCI Metasys, Smart Grid analytics, and data from other applications such as AMI and SCADA.
- Collecting, maintaining, and analyzing operational data for integrated DDC systems.
- Performing quality assurance for Smart Grid and DDC energy analytics.
- Implementing and monitoring reliability and resiliency metrics to maximize system/equipment life and minimize breakdown maintenance.
- Assisting in DDC system integration into the Smart Grid system.
- Supporting operation and maintenance of HVAC systems.
- Assisting with performing Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and Security Requirement Guides (SRGs).
- Conducting ACAS scans and generating reports.
Requirements
- Must be local to Japan or willing to relocate
- Active Secret Clearance is required to be considered for this role
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of three (3) years of related experience and/or training including military or civilian experience
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
- Ability to be on site 100% of the time in Yokosuka Japan.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of BACnet MS/TP, BACnet/IP, and other industrial communication protocols.
- Familiarity with HVAC Systems equipment and operation.
- Understanding of HVAC Control Systems and utility information systems.
- Experience with energy-management technologies.
- At least five years of related experience, including military or civilian roles.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Experience with ACAS scans, applying patches, and implementing DISA STIGs and Benchmarks.
- Experience supporting activities to achieve and maintain Authorization to Operate (ATO), including submitting change requests for newly installed devices.
The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $92,981 to $179,438.
You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
