Deloitte Tax LLP seeks a Tax Manager in Houston, TX.
Work You’ll Do
Provide an integrated approach to process improvement that can help the tax department maximize its strategic value to the organization. Oversee the day-to-day interactions with executive clients and sponsors. Oversee and deliver components of client engagements that identify, design, and implement technology and creative business solutions for large companies. Oversee teams in the identification of business requirements, functional design, process design (including scenario design and flow mapping), prototyping, testing, training, and defining support procedures. Perform role of counselor and coach. Provide input and guidance into the staffing process. Actively participate in staff recruitment and retention activities. Provide leadership and support for delivery teams and staff in local offices. Develop and maintain contact with top decision makers at key clients. Organize and lead pursuit teams. Participate in and lead aspects of the proposal development process. Contribute to the development of proposal pricing strategies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's (or higher) degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Information Systems or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent).
- Five years of experience as a Tax Manager or related occupation gaining enterprise resource planning (ERP) experience.
- Experience must include five years of:
- Leading solution design, configuration and implementation of financial business processes using packaged ERP solutions;
- Working on full lifecycle implementations, including rollouts, support, and enhancement projects;
- Utilizing IT experience, including business process analysis, blueprinting, solution design, conceptual prototyping, business requirement and functional design documentation, configuration, testing, cutover, go live activities, change, release and problem management;
- Working on SAP Financial Accounting (FI) and Controlling (CO) modules, including General Ledger (GL), Account Payable (AP), Account Receivable (AR), Tax, New GL, Special Purpose Ledger (SP), Asset and Bank Accounting, Cost Center Accounting, Profit Center Accounting, Internal Orders, and Profitability Analysis;
- Working on SAP Project Systems, Ariba, Concur, or Salesforce to integrate external tax engine;
- Utilizing SAP Financial Supply Chain Management (FSCM) modules, including Biller Direct, Credit, Collection and Dispute Management, SAP S/4 HANA finance, SAP Central Finance (cFIN), and SAP Vendor Invoice Management (VIM);
- Integrating FI with Materials Management (MM) and Sales and Distribution (SD) modules with associated configuration and account posting;
- Configuring GL, AR, AP, banking and settlement business processes;
- Supporting client interfacing activities and coordinating with teams for overall solution deployment; and
- Leading offshore and onsite team members for seamless project delivery.
- Position requires approximately 50% travel, including domestic and international travel.
