ALC Specialist Application Debugger

Work you'll do

• Support Government Clients to modernize a legacy application to Java by providing IBM Assemble (ALC) expertise.
• Interpret and debug legacy ALC code.
• Explain and assist peers in understanding ALC code functionality written as business logic.
• Interpret ALC code into business logic that Java Architects and Developers easily interpret.
• Support testing efforts by using mainframe tools to debug the ALC code and communicate effectively to support triage work.

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain the required clearance for this role.
• Ability to travel 10-25%, on average, based on the work you do and the clientsandindustries/sectorsyou serve.
• 5 year of experience as a Test Engineer or Developer.
• 1 year of experience in Object Oriented Programming.
• 1 year of experience in IBM Assembler (ALC)

Preferred:

• Previous Government Contracting experience.
• 3 years of experience debugging software.
• Expertise in IBM Assembler (ALC).
• IBM Linux Mainframe, and IBM z/OS Mainframe experience.
• Previous Cobol, and ConnectR experience.

This compensation range is specific to California, Colorado, Hawaii, Jersey City, Nevada, New York state, Washington state, and Washington, DC, and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $102,750 to $171,250.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
