The Atlassian System Consultant will be responsible for the configuration, maintenance, and daily operation of Atlassian tools (currently Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket and Crowd). Candidates should have experience in administering complex, automated Jira Data Center environments hosted in AWS on Linux servers and in building high-quality systems in support of business operations. The ideal candidate would also have experience in migrating from Atlassian server to Atlassian Data Center environments. The person in this position should have strong overall technical skills, excellent customer service skills, and superior organizational and prioritization management skills.
This candidate needs to be flexible and someone who will flourish in a challenging environment. He or she should be a self-starter and have excellent motivation and ingenuity to excel at this position. If selected, all interviewees must agree to an on-camera interview via Zoom.
Job Responsibilities :
- Administer Atlassian products including Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket and Crowd (system level, not just project level)
- Create complex Jira workflows, project workflows, field configurations, screen schemes, permission schemes and notification schemes
- Create conditions, validators, and post functions; make changes to workflows, screens, fields, and reporting, and provide ongoing support and configuration maintenance
- Create and manage users, groups, projects, and user permissions
- Create JQL queries, filters, dashboards and reports
- Establish and promote best practices for the usage of Atlassian tools
- Help guide and maintain the organization of data in Atlassian tools
- Configure, manage, and enhance Atlassian tools, including native functionality as well as researching, testing, and implementing apps
- Troubleshoot access and/or performance issues, engaging Atlassian and/or app vendor support when necessary
- Create and maintain scripts in such apps as Adaptavist Scriptrunner and JMWE workflow extensions
- Design, test, and deploy changes to dev, test, and production Jira environments using Botron Configuration Manager app
- Deploy, troubleshoot, tune, and maintain Atlassian Data Center architecture in an AWS environment on Linux OS with PostgreSQL databases, using automation
- Be willing to learn, design, implement and maintain automation (to include Kubernetes, Ansible and CloudFormation templates) within the AWS Atlassian environment
- Troubleshoot Atlassian issues and upgrade Atlassian applications on Linux-based servers
- Interact with Project Managers, Managers, Developers, Infrastructure Engineers, Practice Teams, Stakeholders, and other Administrators
- Create, manage, support, and operate all administrative functions associated with the Atlassian products as outlined by the sponsoring practice team
- Create and maintain technical documentation
- Understand system architecture of upstream and downstream impacts when implementing solutions
- Maintain a Customer Service-driven mindset and cultivate strong relationships with other teams
Qualifications:
- 2 years of IT experience
- Bachelor's degree in Technology, Business, or a related field
- Experience working with Atlassian products
- Expertise in Jira and Confluence administration, with at least 1 year of experience with Jira administration and/or development
- Hands-on experience using JIRA REST APIs for integration with other tools like Jenkins, and Integration/Automation frameworks
- Proven track record with Atlassian installations, migrations, and upgrades
- At least 1 year of experience supporting Atlassian tools in an AWS environment, especially multi-node deployments with automation (CloudFormation templates, Ansible, etc.)
- Excellent Linux skills with at least 1 year of experience
- Proficiency working with PostgreSQL databases
- Must live a commutable distance or be willing to relocate to one of the follwoing USDC locations: Gilbert, Arizona; Lake Mary, Florida; Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvanie

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $70,000-$128,000.
