Confidentiality & Privacy (C&P) is seeking a Lead Specialist to support the strategic priorities and mitigation of confidentiality and privacy risks across the Deloitte US Firms.
The successful candidate will be expected to quickly build subject matter expertise in the US Firms' confidentiality and privacy policies while providing impactful contributions to privacy operations and compliance activities, assessing technologies for confidentiality and privacy risks, and evaluating and recommending process improvements and technology solutions.
Illustrative Responsibilities
- Develop an understanding of the US Firms' businesses and enabling areas to provide accurate consultation on confidentiality and privacy inquiries.
- Develop/update artifacts to support the privacy program (e.g., playbooks, policies, procedures, templates, and guidelines).
- Support awareness activities of emerging privacy trends and risks with business and enabling area leadership.
- Learn and support Confidentiality & Privacy Impact Assessments (CPIAs): review information for completeness and accuracy, identify items for follow-up, update system and track activities methodically with relentless attention to quality, accuracy, and timeliness.
- Continually assess the CPIA intake process and identify enhancements to capture the intake of new technologies from business, enabling area and ITS processes
- Work with team members to conduct risk assessment of emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, internet of things, and cloud solutions and follow-up on progress of remediation activities.
- Maintain proactive communications with business and enabling area key stakeholders on confidentiality and privacy related matters and to complete assessments.
- Maintain accurate records and evidence of related activities.
- Directly and indirectly support data analytics, reporting, and analysis efforts to identify insights, potential risks, and mitigation strategies. Assist in documenting requirements for the development and/or enhancement of Confidentiality & Privacy program technology solutions.
- Support projects/strategies to enhance the US Firms' privacy and confidentiality preparedness based on emerging trends and risks.

- Bachelor's Degree required, Masters and/or JD Preferred
- 5 years of relevant experience
- Minimum of 3 years of experience with the entire Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
Preferred Qualifications - Lead Specialist:
- Certified International Privacy Professional (CIPP) certification
- Experience with Collaboration Tools (e.g., SharePoint, Teams, One Drive)
- Experience in professional services, risk management, client service, or consulting services preferred
- Experience in working independently and preparing reports and deliverables
- Experience summarizing results and producing management reports
- Experience producing and delivering appropriate communications to leadership
- Experience supervising and/or managing resource
The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
