Delta Apparel, Inc., along with its operating subsidiaries, DTG2Go, LLC, Salt Life, LLC, and M.J. Soffe, LLC, is a vertically-integrated, international apparel company that designs, manufactures, sources, and markets a diverse portfolio of core activewear and lifestyle apparel products under the primary brands of Salt Life®, COAST®, Soffe®, and Delta.
Delta Apparel is seeking a Cost Analyst I to join it's growing team in Duluth, GA office. The ideal candidate will support Delta Apparel management by creating and maintaining bill of materials and routes that provide Planning department with tools and management with integrated cost information. These bill of materials and routes are based on information supplied by Technical Services, Manufacturing, and Cost Accounting. In addition, summarize information and create/maintain routes that reflect the most current manufacturing and cost information. Analyze standard costs on a weekly/monthly/annual basis to ensure accuracy and provide explanations of variances to management and accounting.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Daily:
- Entry of data of items associated with standard costs and requests for set up.
- Create or maintain Item Masters for garments.
- Maintain all Master files that contain costing and labeling information.
- Maintain Cross-Reference Master File.
- Create/Maintain BOM and routes for all new styles.
- Add new colors to existing styles.
- Add additional routes to styles.
- Review and analyze standard costs for accuracy.
- Maintain standard allowed minutes (SAMs) revisions received from engineering that are associated to existing BOMs for production routes
Monthly:
- Month end sales report
- Month end manufacturing report
- Month end review of Plant to Division variance report
- Revaluation reports – WIP/SRID
- Run various reports for variance analysis as instructed
- Provide variance explanations to management for monthly financial meetings
Annually:
- Update standards with all year end cost changes.
- Year to Year cost change analysis for Delta, Funtees, & Soffe
- Review and adjust purchase price variances as needed
Job Requirements:
- BA Degree- Preferred
- 2-3 years of applicable experience
- Attention to details
- Proficient in Microsoft office computer skills (Excel)
- Good technical knowledge of manufacturing
- Ability to prioritize projects
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to translate ideas into production
