Description

  1. Receive and count working cash; keep cash drawer limits within authorized levels.
  2. Balance cash daily to general ledger, contact supervisor if any discrepancies exist.
  3. Identify customers, validate and cash checks.
  4. Accept cash and checks for deposit and check accuracy of deposit slip.
  5. Process cash withdrawals.
  6. Prepare cashiers checks as needed and monitor daily cashiers check log.
  7. Receive and verify loan payments.
  8. Complete Wire Transfers for customers
  9. Record all transactions promptly, accurately and in compliance with bank procedures.
  10. Balance currency, cash and checks in cash drawer at end of each work day.
  11. Perform remote capture of teller transactions as needed throughout the work day.
  12. Assist customers when possible regarding debit card transactions, check orders, etc.
  13. Assist with answering telephone for branch when feasible.
  14. Assist in opening night depository daily with head teller or officer and verify night deposit bags and envelopes. Once verified, log all transactions on night deposit log sheet.
  15. Open and close doors at appropriate time.
  16. Assist customers in safe deposit boxes upon request.
  17. Provide excellent customer service.
  18. Trouble shoot problems for other tellers regarding out of balance transactions, etc.
  19. Stock ATM cassettes and assist with balancing ATM weekly, reconcile daily with Intercept.
  20. Stock Cash Dispenser as needed and assist with balancing as needed.
  21. Assist and/or perform vault duties as needed.

Qualifications


  1. High school diploma or equivalent required
  2. A minimum of one (1) year prior teller and/or banking experience preferred
  3. Must be detail oriented and organized with excellent attention to detail
  4. Superior customer service skills
  5. Must possess a positive attitude
  6. Familiarity with banking regulations and laws
