Job Summary: To ensure the stable operation of the computer environment; supports end-users by resolving all technical problems in a timely and accurate fashion.


Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Serve as an initial point of contact for all incoming technical requests, inquiries, problems, or incidents to the helpdesk ticketing system to include hands-on and remote troubleshooting.
  • Support the company’s physical computing environment to include configuring, installing, and troubleshooting all physical PC hardware platforms, firmware, operating systems and applications.
  • Support the company’s virtual computing environment by supporting end-users in a VMware Horizon Virtual Desktop Infrastructure and physical client devices.
  • Assist with system resource monitoring, as well as 24x7 technical support through participation in an on-call rotation.
  • Participate in asset management by maintaining an accurate and detailed hardware and software inventory.
  • Assist with managing Active Directory services by creating, updating, and removing users, computers, and groups to and from the domain.
  • Support the company’s mobile phone users by managing the mobile account, lines, and devices.
  • Proactively assess and recommend technical areas of improvement and new technical opportunities/solutions in the marketplace.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of technical policies, procedures and other documentation.

Perform other related assigned duties as necessary to complete the Primary Job Responsibilities as described above.


Minimum Qualifications:
Will accept any suitable combination of education, training or experience. Position requires completion of two years' college, technical, or vocational school with relevant course work in computer science or a related field, and four years' related work experience in personal computer system support, development, or training. One or more foundation-level certifications such as CompTIA A , Network , or Microsoft MTA is preferred.

Position requires advanced knowledge of hardware and software products, including, Microsoft Office products, Windows operating systems, and Outlook email as well as LAN communication and TCP/IP protocol; the ability to recognize, analyze and resolve complex technical personal computing hardware and software problems; the ability to use independent judgment and communicate effectively with internal and external contacts. Knowledge of information security principles and practices.
