Job Description
We are seeking an experienced estimator to join our construction team. Estimator, you will play a crucial role in assessing project requirements, analyzing costs, and determining accurate estimates for construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction and a detailed understanding of estimating methods and techniques.
Responsibilities
- Analyze project plans and specifications to prepare accurate cost estimates.
- Conduct thorough site visits and assessments to gather relevant project information.
- Review blueprints, specifications, and other project documents.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary project data.
- Identify and quantify potential risks and uncertainties associated with the project.
- Prepare detailed and clear estimates, including material and labor costs.
- Establishing and maintaining relationships with contractors and vendors
- Review and analyze subcontractor bids and negotiate pricing as needed.
- Monitor project costs and provide updates throughout the construction process.
- Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and labor costs to ensure accurate estimations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an Estimator in residential construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and labor costs.
- Excellent mathematical and analytical skills.
- Proficient in using estimation software and MS Office Suite.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
